About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong experience in API integrations and Shopify site development to join our growing remote team. This is a part-time role (20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, integrating, and maintaining scalable web solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity between platforms, and enhancing eCommerce functionality on Shopify.
You will work closely with the client’s team, participate in meetings when required, and deliver clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Key Responsibilities

Build, customize, and optimize Shopify themes, templates, and apps to enhance site functionality and user experience.
Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom APIs to connect various platforms and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with business goals.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed.
Ensure code quality, security, and performance optimization across all deliverables.
Attend scheduled client meetings, as required, to discuss project progress, technical challenges, and timelines.
Document processes, maintain code repositories, and follow development best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Shopify development (themes, Liquid templates, apps, customizations).
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and proven experience with API integrations.
Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and related front-end technologies.
Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express) is a plus.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a remote environment with a flexible schedule.

Work Schedule

Part-Time: 20 hours per week
Flexible work hours – must be available for occasional client meetings
