Natchaug Hospital is Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. We offers a variety of programs including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools and chemical dependency services. Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Creative Rehabilitation Services, COTA gathers client data as it relates to creative therapy planning and assessment services. Plans, organizes and implements rehabilitation groups for all inpatients and/or partial hospitalization programs. Participates in multi-disciplinary team and completes required documentation.

• Previous experience in planning, organizing, and implementing treatment activities and clinical rehabilitation groups with children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric issues, preferably in an inpatient and/or residential setting.
• Minimum of an Associates Degree in occupational therapy.
• Current license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Connecticut.
• Registered with the National AOTA for Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred
• Computer proficiency and keyboard skills required.
