This position is responsible for 1) prospecting/selling and renewing Public Sector 300+ accounts including medical, ancillary, RX, stop-loss and other related products, 2)  account management and strategic guidance of the position’s assigned group inventory, and 3) establishing and maintaining relationships with key consultants/agents, internal/external and platform partners.
 

What Are The Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales/Account Management: 
  •     Achieve sales and renewal goals in a team environment.
  •     Lead clients through the sales process, from proposal to account management.
  •     Develop account management plans and strategic alliances to achieve client satisfaction and company objectives.
  • Relationship Performance: 
  •     Develop and implement tactics to enhance client relationships.
  •     Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, consultants, and key influencers.
  •     Understand the client's environment, needs, and priorities.
  • Development and Administrative Performance: 
  •     Manage personal and professional development.
  •     Establish and enhance client relationships through knowledge, competency, and professionalism.
  •     Identify opportunities to mentor and coach others.
  •     Effectively manage time, territory, costs, and administrative tasks.


What is Required:
•    5+ years’ experience in group insurance sales, account service, or suitable industry experience.
•    Current Florida Health and Life Insurance license
•    Demonstrated successful insurance sales experience with thorough knowledge of the health insurance industry, agent/consultant distribution systems, and sales promotion principles.
•    Strong leadership, negotiation, and sales closure skills and proven relationship management skills. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Demonstrated business acumen, protocol, and behaviors.
•    Reside in North Florida area conducive to working in and servicing the Panhandle geographic territory. 
•    Ability to travel overnight regularly and attend client/consultant/agent meetings day/night, as needed

What Is Preferred:

•    Professional designations within the insurance industry (e.g., CLU, CEBS). 
•    Large Group Health Insurance experience  
•    Experience working with insurance agents in a specific market, and influencing internal and external partners associated with account management, sales or renewals 
•    Knowledge of group insurance underwriting.
 

General Physical Demands

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $152,600 - $190,800, within full salary range of $152,600 - $248,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
