We’re seeking a future team member for the role of  Vice President, Application Development Manager  to join our Sanctions Team. This role is in Chennai, India

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • This role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience in FircoSoft V6 rollout, strong expertise in related technologies, and a deep understanding of the transaction screening ecosystem beyond the product itself.
  • The ideal candidate should also have skills in AI, Java, or Python to support our technology uplift and future strategic goals.
  • The importance and permanence of this role, securing a full-time resource is essential to ensure continuity, innovation, and success in our sanctions screening enhancements.
  • Provides application support for moderately and highly complex applications and their operating environment.
  • Provides incident management and problem management service for production related incidents.  
  • Lead troubleshooting during production outages and communicates to management throughout the incident lifecycle.  
  • Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.
  • Leads root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems to address underlying technical issues.
  • Maintenance of Issues logs, knowledge base articles and documentation.
  • Close interaction with Application Development teams, other production support teams, various stakeholders within the organization and vendor management.
  • Production readiness reviews for new releases and validate the supportability of changes prior to introduction into production.
  • Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup.
  • Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment.
  • Experience in application deployment / release activities.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly, succinctly, and accurately.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for mastering new software applications.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial.
  • 10-17 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain FircoSoft solutions (Firco Continuity, Firco Filtering & Firco Utilities).
  • Integrate Firco with core banking and payment systems for real-time and batch screening. Customize screening rules, filters, and scenarios to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and tune the Firco engine for performance, accuracy, and false positive reduction.
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform Root cause analysis on fircosoft system independently
  • Work closely with Compliance partners, Operations and other LOBs to resolve issues.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats like XML, ISO 20022, Experience with Financial message systems( eg: Swift MT).
  • Strong understanding of AML, OFAC EU, UN and other global sanction regulations.
  • Familiarity in Custom reporting tools (Crystal, SAP BO reports) is preferred.
  • Experience with IBM MQ/ messaging and MQ middleware queues.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka messaging.
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle databases and knowledge about writing SQL/stored procedures, Unix shell scripting, windows bat scripting.
  • Experience in supporting deployment using Jenkins, GIT, CI/CD, and strong debugging skills. 
  • Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to appropriate section
  • Prioritize and handle service requests, incidents, change management and problem tickets
  • Knowledge with Monitoring tools such as, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience around documentation in Confluence or SharePoint.
