- Working 36.5 hrs hours per week - between 7:30am-3pm (Hours to be confirmed)
- (Pro rata/term-time only) including 3 cleaning days in school holidays and 5 Inset days

As a Catering Supervisor, within Birmingham City Council, you’ll help deliver healthy meals to children across Birmingham, working closely with your team to keep kitchens running smoothly. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals for all pupils and some staff
- Planning and controlling all aspects of the service
- Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to the highest of cleaning standards
- Costing, stocktaking and keeping appropriate records using IT skills/ Word/Excel etc.
- Food ordering using the Saffron IT System
- Management of staff and training
- Maintain a budgeted menu with balanced diets and allergen control
- You will work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in school kitchens
We’re looking for warm, reliable team players with a passion for food and great customer service. If you’ve got good communication skills, a Food Safety Level 2 certificate, and a “can do” attitude, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in a similar environment is a bonus, but your enthusiasm and commitment matter most.

About You;
Essential:
- Food Safety Level 3 Certificate (in date)
- Qualifications in Food Catering – i.e. 706/1 & 2 etc
- Allergy Awareness Certificate (in date)
