The Impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Counsel's Office team, the Associate Director will support the Governance and Reporting team in meeting DTCC's Corporate Compliance Program obligations. The Associate Director will collaborate with partners across the Compliance Department to analyze diverse data from various sources and systems, identify quantitative and qualitative trends, maintain thorough documentation, and drive the team’s governance and reporting capabilities through research and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The Associate Director will play a critical role in enhancing the Compliance Department’s metrics reporting to senior management and DTCC Board Committees as well as other governance-related projects aligned with DTCC’s Corporate Compliance Program.
  Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced data analytics techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and generate metrics for senior management and Board Committees
  • Extract and analyze diverse data sets, which may have inconsistent or unstructured inputs from multiple systems (e.g., Archer, Snowflake data warehouse, SharePoint), to produce risk-informed insights and support trend analysis
  • Support routine data validation protocols to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of outputs used in Chief Compliance Officer, Board, and Committee reporting
  • Promote data literacy within the Compliance Department by providing informal training and support to team members on data analysis and visualization tools
  • Research and implement innovative data methods to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing DTCC Corporate Compliance Program enhancements using data science, advanced predictive analytics tools, and artificial intelligence/machine learning

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in compliance, risk management, or audit, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree required / master’s degree in related field is desirable 

Talents Needed For Success:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., KNIME, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau), as well as artificial intelligence tools 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong ability to articulate findings from data and research to non-technical individuals at all levels
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis, presentation, and reporting
  • Effective challenge mentality
  • Familiarity with data associated with compliance activities, such as issue tracking, employee compliance, anti-money laundering, sanctions, risk assessments, and regulatory updates is a plus
