How You Will Energise Our Team 🤝
We are seeking a talented Graduate Pricing Analyst to join our Commercial team! The successful candidate will assist the Pricing Manager in developing, maintaining and optimising pricing models and supporting strategies that ensure competitiveness, profitability, and compliance in the energy supply market. The role requires a motivated and analytically-minded individual with a keen attention to detail and naturally inquisitive nature. The day-to-day responsibilities will involve but not be limited to the following:
- Support the delivery of accurate and competitive product pricing, ensuring all pricing remains both commercially viable and value-adding throughout the duration of customer contracts
- Monitor and analyse market trends to anticipate changes that could impact pricing strategy, assessing associated risks and opportunities
- Maintain accuracy across cost elements of end-user pricing, ensuring they remain reflective of current market conditions and applied with appropriate granularity
- Review and validate historical cost assumptions across the existing portfolio to identify variances, trends, or areas for improvement
- Assist in the ongoing development and refinement of pricing models and price books used across Electricity, Gas, and Renewable product lines and sales channels
- Provide timely updates to the Pricing Manager regarding cost changes, enabling accurate forecasting and informed business decision-making
- Contribute fresh ideas and innovative approaches in response to industry developments, supporting continuous improvement in pricing methodologies and strategy
- Uphold best practices in data integrity and quality control, ensuring all analysis and outputs are accurate, transparent, and aligned with business standards
The Spark We'Re Looking For 🔍
- A minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a STEM discipline or a related analytical field
- Strong academic background with a B grade or above in A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative subject)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate data, use formulas, and create models or reports confidently
- Exposure to or interest in data analytics and programming tools such as SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, R, and/or Python (highly desirable)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from complex datasets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs and timescales
- Naturally inquisitive mindset with a keen interest in data accuracy, quality, and integrity
- Commercial awareness or an interest in understanding how data influences pricing, profitability, and business strategy (advantageous)
