Job Summary:

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for full cycle payroll preparation and processing as well as supporting the administration of employee benefit programs and the company leave of absence processes.  This position requires strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Prepares/Processes Weekly and Bi-Weekly multi-state domestic payroll and reporting in Paylocity HRIS system.
  • Acts as secondary for international payroll and reporting.
  • Ensures accurate maintenance of employee data, payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Maintains payroll wage garnishments, EDD documentation and reports.
  • Builds, prepares and maintains reports in Paylocity HRIS system. 
  • Assists in running reports and providing records necessary for company audits.
  • Completes year-end payroll processes including but not limited to W-2, ACA and other company and government reporting.
  • Completes employment verifications
  • Prepares employee separation final pay, notices and related documentation.
  • Provides support in administering benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance programs.
  • Assists with open enrollment in the HRIS system. Assists with open enrollment reporting needs. 
  • Assists in keeping records of benefits plan participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Assists in responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Aid in the company-wide leave process. Pulling required reports, working with the third party vendor, and assisting with employee inquiries
  • Coordinates and maintain files with third-party vendors and serve as the primary contact
  • Performs HR project-based work as assigned 
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience with processing payroll in an HRIS system; Paylocity experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience creating custom reports in HRIS system; Paylocity experience preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred but not required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft office applications 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedural manuals 
  • Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Ability to effectively problem solve
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, use of computer, communication via telephone
  • Ability to navigate an office environment.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in office or site location.
  • Job may require occasional travel within the United States.
