This position manages day-to-day activities to ensure the department is running efficiently and meets the expectations and needs of customers and staff. Assists with the management/administrative aspects and has operational control of a range of projects. May work on assignments related to project development and management initiatives, internal operating procedures, business processes, and policies.
This position is currently open to regular Boise State University employees only.
This position is not eligible for VISA Sponsorship.

Level Scope:Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self development. Requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training.
Essential Functions:● Responsible for various processes and liaising with other units such as Human Resources, research support, financials, data management, and communication.
● Directs customer service and support functions. Assists in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans. May lead efforts to recruit new employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals. Manages quality assurance programs.
● Serves as liaison to other team members, including interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management as well as training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance.
● Ensures customer service for the entire Department and campus community.
● Engages in Departmental problem-solving for organizational issues; makes recommendations for Department efficiencies and advancement.
● Plans and coordinates a variety of special administrative projects and assignments.
● Renews job knowledge by reading professional journals, participating in educational opportunities, and belonging to professional organizations.
● Represents the Department and the Division in select working groups, committees, and partnerships, both internal and external to the University.
● Engages the entire campus community through workshops and training programs, designed to enhance the student experience and the safety and security of all community members
● Accounts Receivable tasks, including preparing billing and submitting the internal payments.
● Financial Reconciliation activities, including reconciling, depositing, and creating departmental deposits for daily transactions.
● Financial Reporting, including creating monthly and ad-hoc reports of revenue and expenses to ensure all budget managers and leadership have accurate financial data.
● May perform other duties as needed.

● Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is $50,065.60/yr and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):- 12 paid holidays AND the University is closed between Christmas and New Year's (requires use of 3 vacation days)
- Between 12-24 annual paid vacation days for full-time Professional and Classified staff depending on position type and years of service
