Position Summary:

The Operations Coordinator oversees the full scope of study abroad enrollment services, including registration, billing, course scheduling, and grade reporting. This role provides operational leadership by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Education Abroad (EA) and key university offices, including Student Financial Services and Cashiering and the Registrar's Office, fostering strong collaborative relationships and maintaining seamless communication. This position supports EA advisors and program managers by driving timely and precise enrollment and billing functions that are critical to program success. The Coordinator ensures adherence to institutional academic policies and financial regulations while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and mitigate risks. Additionally, the role upholds a high standard of customer service for students, faculty, and staff by delivering clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and efficient resolution of issues to support the overall strategic objectives of the Education Abroad unit.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.

- Demonstrated experience working with a student information system
- Demonstrated experience working with highly sensitive information
- Demonstrated experience working with students
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining key relationships with internal partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: One (1) year of experience in higher education administration, student services, international education, program coordination, enrollment management, or academic records.
  • Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of study abroad programs in higher education.
  • Knowledge of data and statistical reports.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
