About The Role

Kinsmen Group is looking to recruit a senior leader to take up the reins of our Professional Services organization. With a current team of around 20, which continues to grow, we seek a strong, confident leader that has previous experience of leading professional services teams to create great outcomes for our customers.

With a diverse portfolio of services and products that we provide to our customers, this is a challenging role that requires confidence and good decision-making skills, to ensure a continuous delivery process.

What You'Ll Do

  • Team & Project LeadershipOversee and manage the professional services team, including consultants, trainers, and related staff. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, with high quality outcomes.
  • Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and leading to high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Strategic PlanningDevelop and implement strategies for the professional services division to achieve business growth, including regular forecasting, annual planning, rate management and close monitoring of performance.
  • Resource ManagementEnsure our resource pool is efficiently managed, allocated and utilized to maximize revenue generation, whilst maintaining high standards of delivery.
  • Project ManagementEnsure project management provides the level of oversight and diligence required for successful project outcomes. At any time, we can have around 20-25 projects, all at different stages.
  • Operational ManagementManage resources, budgets, forecasts and the profit and loss (P&L) for the professional services organization.
  • Internal CollaborationWork closely with other departments like sales, product development, and finance to ensure the services division is aligned with the company's overall strategy.
  • Process ImprovementIdentify and address problems in existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and align to our ISO 9001 accreditation.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in managerial position within professional services, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience with technical and non-technical projects, including large data migration projects.
  • Previous experience of management of at least 15 people.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, management, or engineering.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies.
  • Clear understanding of budgeting, resource management, and profitability.
  • Deep understanding of the industry and specific client needs to develop effective services.
  • Previous experience in engineering-focused document or data management preferred.
