Job Description

Based on the interviews and the candidate’s demonstrated level of experience and competencies, we determine whether you are placed in salary scale 9 or 10.

The Team

In the Business Lending domain, we support business clients with financial solutions, such as loans, credit facilities, lease, and factoring solutions. Our ambition? To be ahead of the market by enabling 80% of our client requests through fast and seamless digital journeys. Simplification and standardization are crucial to achieve this goal. 

Our team plays a pivotal role in this transformation. We firmly believe that data is a key asset in today’s financial world. Our mission is to support data-driven decision making, to ultimately help more business clients.  

With our data platform we offer solutions that enable straight-through-processing and fully automated credit origination. We maintain client profiles that are continuously updated with data from client and employee journeys, and we implement risk models used for acceptance decisions.  

We have the objective to better understand data: where it comes from, how it is used, what the quality is. We collaborate with product, engineering, and risk teams to continuously unlock new data sources, and improve our data landscape. 

What You Can Expect

As Business Analyst you’re the linking pin between business teams that use data to drive their strategy, IT/engineering teams that implement the client journeys which use and produce data, and modelling teams that use data to develop acceptance models. 

Your key responsibilities are (1) to champion the product vision and platform capabilities, (2) understand the business needs and translate these to actionable data requirements, and (3) guide and mentor the other business analysts. 

Your Activities Will Include:

• collaboration with business stakeholders to understand their requirements 
• challenging business stakeholders on requirements to find the solution they really need 
• designing data models and the required transformations for our data engineers to implement 
• challenging data engineers to ensure their solutions deliver business value 
• coaching less experienced business analysts in their approach and way of working

What We Ask

• 8+ years of experience in business analysis
• Experience working with data platforms and data teams 
• Solid understanding of business topics in the financial services industry; knowledge of business lending is a plus 
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills 
• Experience in translating business needs into actionable data requirements 
• Experience in designing batch and streaming data flows (ETL) and data modelling (relational databases, document databases (NoSQL), and API schemas) 

• Proficiency In Sql

• A can-do mentality, you’re a keen problem solver with an eagerness to innovate 
• To be considered for this position, you must be located in the Netherlands
