Basic Function:

Counsels prospective students, applicants, and admitted students. Initiates and lead the graduate department on technological aspects of Salesforce, Slideroom and other Graduate platforms. Answers graduate inquiries (print and electronic). Assists in entire graduate review process.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Interviews and counsels prospective graduate and certificate students.
  • Acts as primary trainer for all admissions counselors on technology initiatives not limited to application review: Salesforce, Slideroom and Peoplesoft.
  • Responds to any graduate inquiries (telephone, mail, e-mail and /or walk-in) along with the both the Assistant Director and the Director of Graduate Admissions.
  • Participates in recruitment events on and off campus.
  • Serves on committees and represents Grad department for all technological applications including CRM platforms, portal planning and new software launches.
  • Schedules and books travel for off campus and out-of-state recruitment events. Books off-site venues for events on the road. Recruits faculty to participate in off-campus events.. 
  • Schedules and coordinates equipment and facility reservations for the graduate and certificate admissions reviews.
  • Assists the Director of Graduate Admissions in admissions reviews for all graduate certificate programs.
  • Liaises with other departments as necessary.
  • Directly oversees daily operations of Graduate Admissions in the absence of the Director of Graduate Admissions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate Admissions and other Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree required, in an area of Visual Arts, Design or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of prior college admissions, recruitment, student affairs experience or 2-3 years of comparable experience in the transferable areas of hospitality, sales, or customer service required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience working with a CRM platform required. Specifically Peoplesoft, Google suite, Slate, Salesforce, or Slideroom highly preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of administrative experience calendaring, correspondence, supporting leaders, working cross departmentally highly preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • Evening and weekend work, travel and a valid drivers license will be required.
