Summary

EAA Aviation Foundation is the charitable organization raising money to support EAA’s vital education, advocacy, and outreach programs. The EAA Foundation Intern will help the Foundation team prepare and execute a memorable experience for top donors during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. They will also assist in planning our formal fundraising event—The Gathering.

Roles And Responsibilities

  1. Provide clerical support for the EAA Aviation Foundation in preparation for AirVenture, including but not limited to data entry, filing, packet assembly, writing auction descriptions, and research projects.
  2. Deliver a first-class hospitality experience for donors during AirVenture, including but not limited to, greeting guests, checking out golf carts, and fulfilling donor requests.
  3. Support donor events which may include set-up, registration and clean-up during the following – PHP receptions, The Gathering, Memorial Wall and Foundation raffles
  4. Embrace and support the EAA mission and perform safe practices in the workplace and aviation environment.
  5. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prefer a student majoring in Nonprofit Management, Human Services, Communications, or related field of study.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Ability to generate and deliver persuasive and clear verbal and written communications as writing is an important element of this position.
  • Results-oriented team player with the ability to collaborate with team members
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; must have credibility, good judgment, honesty and integrity
  • Effective skills in time management
  • Initiative to solve problems with energy and a positive attitude

  • Knowledge of the fundraising process and event planning

Spreadsheet Skills: Demonstrates working knowledge of spreadsheet software; prepares spreadsheets to capture numerical/other informational data.

Physical Requirements

Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
