Summary
Welltower is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our team located in our office in Dallas, TX (Preston Commons). In this role, you will provide high-level support to the Development and Construction team by managing a variety of organizational, administrative, accounting, and communication tasks to ensure the efficient and professional operation of the department and our external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, track, post, and maintain files on construction draw requests
- Coordinate invoice coding and processing
- Support the development team with contract execution and updates
- Prepare project documents for signature
- Update and import external partner budgets
- Organize files and maintain document management systems, including receiving and organizing files from JV partners
- Coordinate insurance documentation and lien releases
- Assist with mapping draw cost codes to internal templates to ensure consistency and alignment across projects
- Provide general administrative support to the department as needed, including expense reporting, scheduling appointments, and related tasks

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma required; AS degree preferred and/or actively pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience (construction or development industry experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency with basic accounting and construction-related math
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word.
- Experience with Yardi, Procore, and other construction & development related accounting software strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Self-starter with the ability to gather, analyze, and resolve issues proactively
