SCOPE: The VP, Information Technology will lead the engineering, support and security compliance teams, overseeing the development and deployment of innovative products and solutions that align with Seed Company’s business goals. The role is crucial in fostering a culture of innovation, ensuring the scalability and security of the organization’s technology infrastructure and driving digital transformation across the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • In collaboration with the CDSO develop and implement a comprehensive information management strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission critical objectives.
  • Oversee the design and development of scalable and secure technology solutions.
  • Ensure that the IT and network infrastructure adequately support the organization’s computing, data processing, and communication needs.
  • Manage Seed Company’s data within systems of record and supporting systems, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and implement strategies to safeguard and optimize data within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and opportunities for integration.
  • Facilitate an environment (creative application and sharing of tools, models, and resources) of cross-functional, intra-organizational and inter-organizational collaboration.
  • Manage technology budgets, contracts and resources, ensuring cost-effective optimization and ROI across all groups.
  • Oversees projects and assignments within the Information Technology team.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Directly supervises the leaders for Security Compliance, IT Support, and Software Development. Indirectly responsible for a team of no more than 15 employees.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and disciplining staff; as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Other Duties:

  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies.
  • Lead and or participate in projects or task force groups that focus on issues having organization-wide impact.
  • Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment within a highly collaborative, synergistic, high-paced team.

Physical Demands:

Occasional exertion up to 10 pounds, lifting a box of paper, moving chairs, tables and sliding doors.

Travel:

Limited domestic travel for conferences and meetings, no more than two to three weeks a year.

Qualifications:

  • Strong faith in Jesus Christ as Savior; God-honoring lifestyle.
  • Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group.
  • Championing Seed Company’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten years + years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in infrastructure or operations leadership roles.
  • Relevant certifications and experience in cloud technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
