Description

Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
 
To contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.   
  • To deliver departmental requirements of core content that will support students to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours.  
  • To deliver on Level 1, 2, 3 and HE programmes as required by the demands of the curriculum, specifically on our L2 Criminology, L3 Uniformed Protective Services & L3 Criminology programmes.  
  • Producing schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.  
  • To co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.  
  • To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above  
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of issues within the FE Sector.  
  • Experience of working within a public service/crime prevention environment (i.e. police)
