Position Overview:

As a Sales Manager, you’ll lead by example—driving results, inspiring your team, and ensuring every guest experience aligns with Berlin City’s “Easy” philosophy. You’ll train, coach, and motivate Sales Associates while overseeing daily operations across showroom, e-commerce, and phone traffic. Your leadership will directly impact performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

This position also requires the ability to desk sales deals, and to partner closely with leadership on inventory, process improvement, and profitability strategies.

• Confident managing sales processes across showroom, e-commerce, and phone traffic
• Skilled at analyzing performance metrics and developing action plans for growth
• Adept at maintaining CSI scores, penetration levels, and forecasted income
• Collaborative and adaptable—able to build strong partnerships across departments
• Technologically savvy and comfortable using CRM, DMS, and reporting tools

Essential Functions:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to achieve daily, monthly, and annual targets
• Manage the negotiation process, ensuring customers fully understand pricing and purchase options
• Appraise trade-ins and desk deals with accuracy and transparency
• Partner with the General Manager and General Sales Manager on inventory and expense management
• Monitor key metrics—sales volume, gross profit, retention, and CSI—and adjust strategies accordingly
• Drive the team’s alignment with Berlin City’s vision, mission, and values
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and manufacturer standards

Performance Is Measured By:

• Targeted unit sales and gross profit achievement
• Team retention and development
• Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) results

Requirements:

• 2+ years of automotive retail sales experience (management preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computers and dealership tracking software
• Valid driver’s license and favorable MVR
• Must pass a pre-employment background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
