Appian Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Appian BPM application design and development, hands-on experience with complex business process solutions, and a solid understanding of software engineering best practices. As an Appian Developer, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing, and innovative solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Appian BPM applications.
- Work closely with business analysts and solution architects to translate requirements into Appian technical solutions.
- Develop process models, records, reports, sites, interfaces, and integrations in Appian.
- Design and implement Appian plug-ins, smart services, Web APIs, and connected systems as needed.
- Ensure application scalability, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and peer mentoring for junior developers.
- Integrate Appian applications with external systems via Web services, REST, SOAP, APIs, and databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system availability and stability.
- Stay updated with the latest Appian features and recommend improvements to existing solutions.
- Contribute to best practices, technical standards, and reusable components within the Appian practice
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8 years of overall IT experience, with 3–5 years in Appian BPM development.
- Certified Appian Associate Developer or higher (Senior/Lead certification preferred).
- Strong hands-on experience in Appian objects including process models, records, reports, sites, actions, interfaces, data management, and Appian Tempo.
- Experience with Appian 21.x and above (latest versions preferred).
- Solid understanding of integration patterns with Appian using REST/SOAP services, RDBMS, and third-party systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team of developers when required.
