In this role, you’ll foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, helping your team grow and succeed. You’ll partner closely with Product and Design to ensure engineering initiatives align with business priorities and deliver impact with clarity and agility.

You will also play a key role in modernizing our engineering practices—both by using AI-powered tools in your own day-to-day work and by helping the engineers adopt AI-assisted workflows responsibly. This is an opportunity to lead at the intersection of team leadership, change management, and AI-transformation.

This role is based in our Mountain View, CA office and is hybrid in office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What You’Ll Do

  • Manage and develop a group of software engineers, with a focus on mentorship, engagement, and career growth.
  • Lead organizational and technical change initiatives to improve collaboration, productivity, and delivery practices.
  • Use AI-powered tools personally in your day-to-day work (e.g., for code review, automation, analysis, or productivity) and set the example for your team.
  • Support and encourage adoption of AI-assisted tooling in areas such as test automation, incident management, and developer productivity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen engineering execution and impact.
  • Support troubleshooting and issue resolution in a 24x7 production environment.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience managing software engineers, with demonstrated success in people and change management.
  • Deep understanding of software development best practices, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies, microservices, and modern development frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex software projects in an agile environment.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, LLMs) as part of your daily workflow.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and coaching skills with a passion for building empowered teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in analytical problem solving and decision making.

Nice To Have

  • Recent hands-on experience with web application development (backend: Java; frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experience building and deploying mobile apps in a modern app development framework.
  • Exposure to AI frameworks or infrastructure for software development.
  • Background in agile project or technical program management.
  • Familiarity with metrics for measuring engineering performance.
