Job Description
Working within the Waihi North Project team, the role involves providing dedicated systems administration and reporting support to the Health, Safety and Training (HST) function. The emphasis is on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integration across key platforms including INX (InControl and InTuition), Moodle (LMS), Cority (health and hygiene), SharePoint, and TeamBinder.
The position reduces the administrative load on training and HST staff, enabling them to focus on delivery and oversight. Over time, the role may expand into broader HST responsibilities as the Waihi North Project progresses.
The role supports the readiness of systems, data, and reporting as the project transitions from construction to operational mining. The role also contributes to the development and maintenance of training and compliance packages for the Waihi North Project, ensuring alignment with site-specific risks, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness.
- Administer and maintain HST systems (INX, Forwood, Moodle, ChemAlert, Cority, SharePoint, TeamBinder).
- Manage training records, evidence and coordinate bookings. Generate accurate reports for regulatory compliance, site risk registers, PHMPs/PCPs, and management.
- Ensure system data integrity, version control, and timely updates.
- Provide user support and training for staff and contractors on HST systems.
- Support alignment of site documentation and risk registers with OGC standards and NZ legislation.
- Assist in preparation of evidence and reporting for WorkSafe and internal audits.
- Contribute to regulatory mapping and ensure records are retained as required.
- Provide backup support to HST team in safety reporting, inductions, and compliance checks where required.
Qualifications
- Qualifications in Health, Safety and Training, or Systems Administration (desirable)
- Full and current driver licence, ability to drive manual vehicles (mandatory)
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in systems administration or HST support, ideally in mining, heavy industry, or contracting.
- Strong systems capability (INX, LMS/Moodle, Forwood, ChemAlert, Cority, or equivalent).
- Understanding of WorkSafe reporting and HST compliance requirements.
- Document control experience using SharePoint or similar.
- Strong reporting, data analysis, and communication skills.
