Basic Purpose:
The Psychology Department at Assumption University in Worcester, MA seeks to hire an instructor to teach one section of PSY 101: General Psychology during the Spring 2026 semester. The semester runs from January 20 to May 11 (inclusive of finals period). This course will meet on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. Adjunct instructors are welcomed members of the department, and are provided with office space, email, voicemail, and support and resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.
Requirements:
Applicants with a PhD in Psychology are preferred. ABD doctoral candidates will also be considered. Individuals with a terminal master's degree in psychology with experience teaching at the college level will also be considered. Candidates must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
