This is a 6-month co-op (January 5th-June 26th, 2026) out of our Boston, MA headquarters.

Klaviyo helps companies of all sizes power smarter digital relationships with their customers. As we deepen our marketing automation and customer data platform offerings, and expand into new markets. 

As a Competitive Intelligence Co-op, you will be responsible for analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of our competition, their product feature sets and core messaging, identifying trends, summarizing, and refining our competitive positioning. 

Working directly under our Head of Competitive Intelligence and close partnership with our Product Marketing team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the growing field of competitive intelligence developing your ability to work cross functionally, research the competition and turn raw insights into actionable intelligence. 

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with a desire to specialize in competitive positioning,  a passion for unpacking competitors and sharing knowledge to help shape marketing messaging, sales and product direction.

How You Will Make A Difference:

  • Become a competitive marketing expert
  • Monitor competitive news, market trends & industry developments
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of competitors on a project basis, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Build competitive resources, like battlecards and talk tracks, to help sales speak to Klaviyo’s value 
  • Support our growing competitive intelligence program:
  • Regularly summarize and communicate competitive, market, and industry trends and developments to internal stakeholders. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert sharing updates, responding to questions, and weighing in on discussions in Slack  
  • Support our win/loss program (via Clozd) while supporting the needs of cross functional stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to win more competitive deals. 

Who You Are:

  • Undergraduate student graduating from May 2027-May 2028 pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising, or related field
  • Have at least one previous internship or co-op experience
  • Excited about the growing field of competitive intelligence and its strategic value
  • Technically Savvy - You pick up on technical things quickly (in order to explain them to others), enjoy learning new skills, and are comfortable collaborating with product management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of complex information into actionable insights.
  • Able to achieve ambitious goals and juggle several ongoing projects with multiple stakeholders while staying organized and calm.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Understand the landscape of ecommerce, B2C digital marketing, marketing automation, and/or customer data platforms
  • Have previous hands on experience with Klaviyo or other platforms
  • Have taken courses and/or certifications in competitive intelligence or product marketing

Our salary range reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all our US locations. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
