We’re seeking a proactive and energetic Wellness Advisor / Recreation Officer to bring our onsite THRIVE Health and Wellness Program to life — helping residents stay active, connected, and engaged in a positive village environment.

Job Description

As a Wellness Advisor / Recreation Officer, you’ll design and deliver a diverse range of physical, social, and wellness activities that enhance the daily lives of residents in the village. From group fitness classes and wellbeing challenges to social events and community celebrations, you’ll play a key role in creating a fun, inclusive and healthy living environment.

You’ll also be responsible for managing the village’s Health and Wellness facilities, coordinating equipment and event logistics, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs run safely and smoothly.

Salary on offer is $95,000 per annum plus superannuation. 

What You’Ll Do

• Deliver and coordinate Sodexo’s THRIVE Health and Wellness Program onsite.
• Plan and promote activity timetables, fitness classes, and community events.
• Organise wellbeing initiatives and special celebrations such as RUOK? Day and Movember.
• Manage the onsite gym and wellness facilities, including equipment checks and stock control.
• Track participation, maintain activity records, and prepare regular reports.
• Support internal wellbeing initiatives such as team stretch sessions, hydration runs and toolbox talks.
• Engage residents and staff to build a connected, healthy and vibrant community.

Qualifications

About You

You’re energetic, approachable, and genuinely passionate about helping others improve their wellbeing. You thrive on variety, enjoy leading group activities, and are comfortable managing multiple programs at once.

You’Ll Also Bring:

• A Certificate IV in Fitness (essential)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience delivering group fitness classes or wellness programs
• Strong organisational and event coordination skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Canva experience highly regarded
• A valid Driver’s Licence
• A Certificate IV in Fitness (essential)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A tertiary qualification in Sports Science, Health Promotion, Human Movement, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
