We are currently seeking a motivated and talented Data Analytics and Development / Data Science Summer Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate with a background in data engineering, computer science, or analytics to gain hands-on experience building and optimising data pipelines, managing large-scale data systems, and supporting analytics initiatives in a fast-paced, professional environment.

What You'Ll Do

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure efficient data collection, transformation, and integration across multiple sources.
• Support the management and organization of large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility for downstream analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable, well-structured data solutions that support business initiatives.
• Work with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS & Databricks)
• Contribute to the optimisation and automation of data workflows to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Assist in building and maintaining data models, schemas, and APIs that enable efficient data consumption by analytics and business intelligence teams.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including data dictionaries, process diagrams, and pipeline design notes.
• Participate in regular team meetings and technical reviews, sharing progress, proposing improvements, and exploring new technologies and methods.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging tools, and trends in data engineering, cloud computing, and analytics.

What You'Ll Bring

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with programming and query languages such as Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts and workflows, including relational databases, ETL processes, data pipelines, and data lifecycle management.
• Understanding of or exposure to data modelling, schema design, and version control (e.g., Git) is an advantage.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Databricks, or similar modern data ecosystems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to design efficient and scalable data solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to solving technical challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Self-driven and eager to learn, with a proactive attitude toward mastering new tools, technologies, and best practices.
