3. Warehousing, Kitting, and Production Support
- Own the integrity of all packaging and labeling procedures.
- Lead the kitting process, reading and interpreting Bills of Material (BOM) to accurately identify, pick, prepare, and tag materials for production.
- Oversee the issuance of both purchased and in-house manufactured components to the Manufacturing Orders (MOs) in the ERP system.
- Ensure all kitted parts and inventory delivered to production meet quality assurance standards.
- Maintain and enforce a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S) for the entire team.
4. Shipping and Logistics (Outbound Flow)
- Serve as the functional supervisor over shipping activities, ensuring all personnel are verifying the correct product is shipped to customers.
- Oversee the packaging process to prevent damage and preserve product conformity, adhering to minimum package requirements and customer specifications.
- Ensure all pertinent documentation (packing slips, carrier labels) is included with the shipment or delivery.
- Ensure finished products are identified, preserved, and segregated prior to shipment.
5. Safety, Equipment, and Process Improvement
- Serve as the safety lead for the material handling area, enforcing adherence to safety protocols, proper lifting techniques, and equipment operation procedures (forklifts, cranes).
- Operate industrial forklifts and/or overhead cranes as needed.
- Train and certify new team members on the safe and effective operation of forklifts and signaling overhead crane operators.
- Actively identify, recommend, and implement process efficiencies within the material flow, applying best practices to improve throughput.
