Job Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. Leveraging deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, and data modeling, this role builds scalable dashboards, automated ETL pipelines, and advanced visualizations that empower stakeholders across departments to make informed decisions. The position requires strong technical knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, and BigQuery, alongside a solid understanding of data governance and compliance standards such as GDPR. Acting as both a technical advisor and mentor, the Senior BI Developer plays a key role in shaping data architecture best practices, guiding junior analysts, and fostering a data-driven culture within the organization. Collaboration with business stakeholders is central to translating KPIs and strategic needs into reliable, high-performance BI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI, from data ingestion to dashboard creation.
• Lead complex data modeling initiatives using DAX, Power Query, and SQL, ensuring data reliability, scalability, and usability.
• Build automated ETL pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, SSIS, or equivalent tools, ingesting data from diverse sources (SQL Server, BigQuery, APIs).
• Develop advanced dashboards and visualizations that support strategic decision-making for stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Act as a technical advisor on data architecture, performance tuning, and best practices in Power BI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the evolution of the BI practice, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Qualifications And Job Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles, with proven experience in Power BI development.
• Data Modeling: Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and dimensional modeling.
• Data Integration: Hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, and BigQuery.
• ETL & Pipelines: Capable of developing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Data Modeling: Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and dimensional modeling.
• Data Integration: Hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, and BigQuery.
• ETL & Pipelines: Capable of developing and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
