About The Team
The Emerging Business Sales team is paving the way for DoorDash’s next billion-dollar business. Stationed across the country, this team builds strategic partnerships with top local and mid-market merchants across our non-restaurant lines of business. The team is responsible for selling a diverse range of products and is often the first to scale new and emerging businesses. Current offerings include Self-Delivery (Alcohol), Hemp, DashMart, Channel Partners, and 3P Alcohol in Canada.
About The Role
We are looking for a Regional Merchant Lead to join our Emerging Business team. This role is focused on establishing partnerships with top local and mid-market merchants in strategic markets for strategic products. - Lead complex negotiations and craft industry-leading, mutually beneficial economic terms
- Manage a fast-paced, structured sales cycle with a goal of closing deals within weeks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Managers, Partner Management, and central teams to maximize value from top accounts
We’Re Excited About You Because…
- You have 3+ years of experience in a closing sales role or similar capacity
- You have 1+ years of outside sales experience
- You excel in strategic deal cycles
- You thrive in fast-changing environments and enjoy taking on new challenges every few months
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and bring structure to undefined spaces
- You have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- You’ve sold multi-product solutions and understand how to tailor pitches to varying needs
- You think from first principlas and enjoy solving problems from the ground up
- You bring creative tactics to prospect engagement
- You’re proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Google Workspace
- You’re a fast learner, eager to adopt new tools and processes
- You’re able and willing to travel 50%+, including overnight stays
