About Destination Canada

Tourism is the heartbeat of communities from coast to coast to coast. At Destination Canada, our aspiration for the tourism industry is to generate wealth and wellbeing for all of Canada and enrich the lives of our guests. Our mission is to influence supply and build demand for the benefit of locals, communities and visitors through leading research, alignment with public and private sectors, and marketing Canada nationally and abroad. We seek diverse, ingenious thinkers teeming with intellectual curiosity and a deep desire to grow Canada’s tourism industry – strengthening the socio-cultural, environmental and economic vitality tourism brings to Canada.

About The Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Partnerships and Program Coordinator to support our Business Events team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Client Engagement, Business Events. It plays a central part in strengthening partner relationships and ensuring smooth execution of contracts, programs, and events. The role manages partnership agreements within the CRM, supports the delivery of programs such as the Airfare program, and ensures effective coordination across contracts, events, and strategic initiatives. By serving as a reliable partner liaison, supporting the events team, and contributing to cross-team projects, this role ensures accurate documentation, effective communication, and operational excellence. Administrative support is provided across the full team, with responsibilities focused on enabling collaboration and program success.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner Relationship Management: Lead the coordination and stewardship of partner relationships to ensure strong, ongoing collaboration. Serve as a consistent point of contact for partners by facilitating regular communications, coordinating calls and presentations, documenting interactions, and ensuring timely follow-up on commitments. Support issue resolution, provide accurate information sharing, and strengthen partner engagement in alignment with organizational priorities. This accountability underpins the success of events, contracts, and strategic programs.
  • Contract and Partnership Agreements: Generate, prepare, and manage agreements by collaborating with finance, procurement, and legal teams to ensure timely execution, invoicing, and approvals. Maintain contract documentation in CRM, monitor compliance, and act as the primary partner contact for amendments, renewals, and inquiries.
  • Project Coordination: Support the successful delivery of projects by managing timelines, documentation, and approvals as required. Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective cross-team communication and smooth execution. Provide targeted assistance on designated projects, ensuring alignment with overall team objectives without duplicating existing project coordination functions.
  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of partner-facing events and international activations by coordinating logistics, itineraries, scheduling, and materials preparation. Collaborate with the events team to ensure smooth delivery of partner-related activities.
  • CRM: Manage CRM entries related to partnership agreements, ensuring accurate documentation of contracts, amendments, and approvals. Maintain up-to-date partner records to support program delivery and contract compliance, while providing supporting inputs to team members responsible for broader CRM optimization and reporting.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of program and event data to support contract tracking, budget monitoring, and partner reporting requirements. Provide timely inputs for post-event analysis and decision-making.
  • Administrative Support: Provide proactive administrative support to the full team, including scheduling and coordinating webinars, managing travel arrangements and expenses (ensuring adherence to organizational policies), maintaining team calendars, and support in updating the Business Events website; while ensuring support extends beyond client engagement functions to the broader team.

  • 3+ years of experience in partner or client relationship management, and 2+ years in project or program coordination.
  • Strong understanding of relationship management principles, CRM systems, and project management tools.
  • Working knowledge of finance, accounting, and contract management fundamentals.
  • Project or program coordination/management skills
