About the role:We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Associate Account Manager to support sales efforts and strengthen key agent partnerships in the Northern California region. We are seeking candidates based in CA.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career, whether you're a recent graduate or have 1–2 years of experience in a professional setting (insurance experience is a plus, but not required). In this role you'll work directly with a regional Account Manager, gaining hands-on experience in E&S insurance, sales, and relationship management.
Your mission is to support the growth of a regional book of business while learning the ropes of account management in the fast-moving, tech-driven world of E&S distribution. With time and experience, this role is designed to evolve into a quota-carrying Account Manager position.

What You'Ll Do

  • Support Growth of the Regional Book: Support early-stage pipeline growth by helping identify high-potential agents, initiating engagement efforts, and assisting the Account Manager in tracking regional activity and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Build Relationships with Agents: Develop relationships with newly appointed retail agents through excellent service, platform guidance, and appetite education.
  • Coordinate Sales Activities: Daily activities include converting renewal business, soliciting new business from early-stage pipeline, and supporting agent requests related to policy management.
  • Learn the Business: Build deep knowledge of Pathpoint’s platform, appetite, processes, and E&S market dynamics. Shadow Account Managers in sales meetings and agent trainings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with underwriting, operations, marketing and product teams to relay agent feedback, improve tools, and ensure a seamless experience for our agent partners.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 0–2 years of experience in a professional environment (insurance, sales, or account management experience is a plus but not required)
  • A genuine interest in commercial insurance and sales
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self-starter who’s organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to take initiative
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, Slack, Notion, Ascend and Retool is a plus but not required
