Job Description
The Vice President, Executive Safety & Event Security, is based out of our headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. This is a hybrid role balancing requirements between travel and the office. Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Versant executives, high-profile personnel, and corporate events. Informed by departmental strategy, this is an operations leading role with a robust team structure, extensive utilization of contract security services, and collaboration with key stakeholders for success.
You Will
- Help ensure Versant staff, assets, property, and business operations are safe from current and emerging threats and actively promote an innovative approach toward risk, think creatively, and drive contemporary solutions.
- Inform strategies and operational goals with usable intelligence, data, and industry trends to drive initiatives, innovations, corrective action, and constant improvement.
- Design, oversee, and improve executive protection and event safety programs (policies, plans, training, procedures, standards, and guidelines) to safeguard key leaders and corporate events.
- Address unique and fluid executive risk profiles, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and objectives. This includes advance planning and the execution of executive protection services when necessary.
- Conduct and oversee threat assessments and drive real-time intelligence monitoring to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks.
- Manage vendor services, sourcing efforts, budgets, timelines, and resource plans to ensure efficiency.
- Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and security providers, ensuring Versant has access to critical and high-quality support during events or crises.
- Serve as the executive safety and event security functional owner for all aspects of incident management and emergency response.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, trends, new technologies, and best practices in executive protection and event security to inform strategy and operations.
- Support corporate compliance with security regulations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.
- Lead and contribute to projects and planning, participating in broader, critical risk management initiatives.
- With the support of the company and leadership, invest in yourself to achieve rewarding professional growth.
