Job Description

As the mobile apps team we deliver apps across mobile devices for titles such as Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Australian Financial Review and Good Food. Building on our success we are embarking on exciting new projects to reinvent and rejuvenate the mobile experience across several products in the portfolio. To help deliver this next evolution we’re looking for an iOS Engineer with strong experience creating dynamic apps.

Day To Day You Will:

  • Design, develop, test, and release robust mobile applications that directly align with strategic business goals.
  • Build features and user interfaces using the latest technologies, with a focus on optimising performance and speed.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define feature requirements and provide recommendations on technical solutions and architectural design.
  • Contribute to a strong commitment to quality, automation, and continuous improvement to ensure reliable solutions for millions of users.
  • Engage in a dynamic and collaborative team culture that actively supports individual goals, personal growth, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training.  

Qualifications

What You’Ll Bring:

  • Solid recent experience working on complex iOS applications in Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
  • Proficiency with Xcode tools, App Store Connect, application provisioning, Development Certificate management, Swift Package Manager (SPM), and third-party app distribution.
  • Strong background in Unit and UI Test Automation using XCTest and Mocking, with a focus on Continuous Improvement in CI/CD, automated testing, and QA.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development, Git, CI/CD, and knowledge of Apple Human Interface guidelines with a focus on optimal performance.
