SUMMARY OF ROLE HERE
Equifax is searching for a Security Analyst to join the A/NZ Security Enablement & Readiness Team. As a valued member of the Group Security team, and under the guidance of the Business Information Security Officer (BISO), you will support the A/NZ Security team in providing advice and guidance on security matters and assist in identifying, prioritising and evaluating risks and controls in an effort to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our security practices. What you’ll do
- Support the BISO in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks by collating required information for assessing security policy exceptions.
- Provide security responses to RFP and security assurance questionnaires for existing and prospective clients.
- Support internal and external audits by working with internal stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and evidence.
- Support the BISO in preparing security reports on compliance status and risk posture in order to proactively review the organisation’s security posture and control compliance coverage.
What experience you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 2+ years work experience, preferably in a Security, Technology or related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently and autonomously, and engage with stakeholders as required.
- Ability to follow established processes or work plans and take direction from others.
- Strong ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external customers and always demonstrate good judgment, integrity and actively collaborates and commits to the success of others.
- Demonstrable basic knowledge of systems, storage, networking, security and database concepts.
What could set you apart
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership.
- Previous experience working in cyber risk, governance or compliance functions.
- Experience working in a matrix environment with globally diverse team members.
- Experience with Google Cloud (GCP).
- Previous experience with information security audits.
- Previous experience obtaining or maintaining compliance certifications such as SOC2, PCI, ISO 27001.
- Understanding of cyber risks in the banking/ financial services sector.
- Security-related certification is a strong plus.
