What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
We are seeking a Finance Manager to act as a strategic business partner for the Logistics team at GM South America. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial performance, driving cost efficiency, and supporting decision-making processes across logistics operations.
This role is part of GPSC Finance organization, reporting to the CFO GPSC Finance in GMSA.
- Serve as a Finance Business Partner for Logistics in South America.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performance Logistics Finance team
- Monitor and analyze logistics costs, including Inbound, Duties, Outbound, and Yard operations.
- Conduct financial variance analysis: Year-over-Year and Actual vs Forecast.
- Lead monthly closing activities, forecasting cycles, annual budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
- Track logistics performance through regional KPIs, global dashboards, and fuel trend analysis (local and international).
- Consolidate global financial reports and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
- Manage financial approvals for supplier price increases, premium freight, and spot purchases.
- Perform sensitivity analyses and ad-hoc financial evaluations related to logistics (e.g., Distribution Mix, Business Cases, Location Strategy, Profitability).
- Serve as a Finance Business Partner for Logistics in South America.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Advanced or Fluent in English
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Technology oriented. Curiosity to explore new tools for process optimization
Preference Qualifications:
- Prior experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure analysis is highly desirable.
- Leadership experience
- Data analytics tools
- Spanish
