The Opportunity ✹

The Strategy & Transformation team is looking for a Strategy Manager who will be leading strategic projects with real business impact, while collaborating and influencing senior leaders across the organization.

Reporting to the Senior Strategy Manager, sitting within the Finance, Legal, and Strategy domain, this is an opportunity to play a key role in the development of IAGL’s corporate strategy, helping to accelerate growth across its Loyalty and Holidays business.

What You’Ll Get Up To 🌠

  • Work closely with IAGL’s Leadership Team to develop and implement strategic initiatives shaping the long-term direction of the business
  • Lead strategic projects building a deep understanding of both IAGL’s business model and industry best practices
  • Leverage your exceptional problem-solving and strategic framing skills by:
  • Understanding stakeholder needs and creating a comprehensive framework to guide strategic analysis
  • Creating robust data models by leveraging both internal and external data
  • Conducting deep market and competitor analysis, translating insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Developing recommendations and presenting a clear and compelling narrative to support Leadership Team decision making
  • Ensuring that strategic decisions flow through the company, by supporting and leading their communication and implementation to the wider business
  • Work closely with the IAGL Transformation and Finance teams to ensure strategic alignment with transformation and financial planning
  • Support on Board and IAG Management Committee materials, investor narratives and strategic reviews
  • Collaborate with the IAG Strategy team on group strategic projects
  • Understanding stakeholder needs and creating a comprehensive framework to guide strategic analysis
  • Creating robust data models by leveraging both internal and external data
  • Conducting deep market and competitor analysis, translating insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Developing recommendations and presenting a clear and compelling narrative to support Leadership Team decision making
  • Ensuring that strategic decisions flow through the company, by supporting and leading their communication and implementation to the wider business

What We Need From You 💡

  • Strategic mindset – You’re focused on the big picture, with a clear understanding of what really matters to performance, and on what needs to happen to drive growth. You know how to break a problem down into drivers in order to surface possible solutions in the absence of perfect information.
  • Data-driven insight – You’re most comfortable when you’re finding and analysing data, and distilling insights that drive you and your team toward solutions. You don’t shy away from making educated inferences and explaining your assumptions.
  • Financial acumen – You know your way around a P&L and a balance sheet, and are comfortable working closely with Finance teams to translate strategic ideas into forward-looking financial plans.
  • Communication skills – You’re able to clearly and succinctly communicate your ideas, using tactics appropriate to your audience to get the results you want. You have deep experience crafting strategy presentations appropriate for senior leaders.
  • Influence – You’re adept at developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, building trust based on shared objectives.
  • Innovative but adaptable – You’re always pushing forward towards innovative solutions, whilst simultaneously recognising the needs of all stakeholders, and calibrating where needed to achieve the best results

What we are looking for💡

  • Experience in a similar corporate strategy role or from a top tier management consulting firm.
  • Relevant experience in loyalty and aviation industry not required, but desirable
  • Substantial experience in problem solving, strategic thinking, communication skills and working with senior stakeholders
