Reporting to the General Manager, as the Channel Sales Manager you will be responsible for the total commercial success of all Channel Sales, made up of Channel Partner Sales and Resellers. Working with all internal Hach South Africa departments, to support Channel Partners in all business functions. Being a strategic component of total business commercial success, the Channel Sales Manager will drive commercial processes, compliance and end user satisfaction through effective deliverables, aligned with customer expectations.

This is an onsite role, based out of our offices in North riding, with up 25% National and cross border travel required. 
 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Total indirect sales revenue, through all Channel Partners and Resellers.
  • Detailed forecasting by Channel Partners for both Bookings and Sales.
  • Channel Partner management, contract reviews and renewals.
  • Channel Partner identification, selection and appointments.
  • Channel Partner performance management through Scorecard reviews.
  • Managing Due Diligence and Compliance for all Channel Partners.
  • Assisting with marketing campaigns run by various Channel Partners, including neighbouring countries.
  • Funnel management for all Indirect business.
  • Sales Force Management using SLX Dashboards for all Channel Partners
  • Development and implementation of local marketing strategies and initiatives to support Channel Sales.
  • Manage Channel Sales pricing, margins and YOY price strategies
  • Continuous improvement throughout the organization, focusing on process improvement. 
  • Channel Partner performance management through Scorecard reviews.
  • Managing Due Diligence and Compliance for all Channel Partners.
  • Assisting with marketing campaigns run by various Channel Partners, including neighbouring countries.
  • Funnel management for all Indirect business.
  • Sales Force Management using SLX Dashboards for all Channel Partners
  • Development and implementation of local marketing strategies and initiatives to support Channel Sales.
  • Manage Channel Sales pricing, margins and YOY price strategies
  • Continuous improvement throughout the organization, focusing on process improvement. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Sales experience, either direct or through channel selling.
  • Strategic focus with attention to detail, evidenced through revenue growth
  • CRM Experience – Preferably Salesforce
  • Diploma/Degree in Chemical/ Instrumentation engineering related studies will be advantageous

It would also be preferable if you have:

  • Channel Partner / Channel Sales management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and learning agility
  • Experience in the water management industry with aspects of analytics, instrumentation and water market segments
  • Advanced diploma in Business Management / MBA
