Moffet Operator

THIS IS A 1ST SHIFT POSITION WITH APPROXIMATE HOURS MONDAY - FRIDAY 6AM TO 4PM, AND WEDNESDAY 6AM TO 11AM. 

• Assist Smithway Driver in the following tasks:
• Deliver chicks from hatchery to the broiler farms 4 days per week.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections of tractor/trailer and Moffett.
• Complete checklist to ensure that all equipment is working properly prior to loading chicks into trailer.
• Responsible for getting any repairs needed and reporting any problems with equipment.
• Place the chicks in the poultry houses at the farms.
• Clean and wash truck on Wednesday and trailer daily after chick hauling.
• Get chick delivery ticket and mortality sheet from chick room lead. Deliver mortality sheet to each grower.
• Deliver chicks from hatchery to the broiler farms 4 days per week.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections of tractor/trailer and Moffett.
• Complete checklist to ensure that all equipment is working properly prior to loading chicks into trailer.

Qualifications

• Able to operate Moffett.
• Lift at least 20 lbs.
• Arrive on time at 6:30 a.m. and stay until the last chick load is delivered.
• Read and write English and perform basic math functions.
• Effectively communicate with others.
