This is the job
At Zimpler, we're engineers, builders, and problem-solvers fundamentally changing how payments work. Our account-to-account (A2A) payment platform powers millions of instant transactions every month – secure, scalable, and lightning-fast.
We’re now hiring two Senior Software Developers, one for our End User Success Core & Nordics team, and one for Merchant Success.
If you’re driven to build elegant solutions for complex problems at scale, this is the place for you.
About The Teams
- The End User Success - Core & Nordics team builds seamless deposit and withdrawal flows, making the user journey fast, secure, and frictionless.
- The Merchant Success team enhances our merchant portal, giving partners clear insights into balances, transactions, and performance.
This is what you will do
As a Senior Software Developer in either team, your main responsibility will be to develop robust and scalable backend systems. These systems handle high volumes of payments and are highly sensitive to latency, requiring sophisticated technical solutions. A key aspect of your role will be to deliver a consistent experience for both end-users interacting with the product and merchants using the back office portal. While we support a wide range of banks and payment options across various markets, our aim is to offer a single, user-friendly product.
Our Tech Stack & Way of Working
We use Go for backend microservices, React + TypeScript for frontend, and deploy on AWS with Kubernetes, SNS/SQS, and Terraform. Data and analytics rely on Snowflake and Dagster. GitLab manages our code and CI/CD, enabling multiple daily deployments thanks to extensive automated testing.
Familiarity with the listed technologies is a plus, though we believe experienced developers quickly adapt to new tech. We prioritize selecting the best tools, balancing innovation with established guidelines. Our "Agile - Enough to be Dangerous" approach includes two-week sprints with flexible refinement and commitment, on-demand retros, and quarterly product initiatives alongside tech debt and velocity improvements.
Who You Are
You are an experienced software developer with a background in both greenfield and brownfield projects. While proficient in various technologies and comfortable within a specific part of the stack, you are also adept at exploring other areas when necessary. This could involve deep dives into databases, investigating client-side cookie management, or understanding data transformations in our performance metric pipelines.
Collaboration is key for you. You thrive when working with developers, designers, and product owners to define scope and requirements. You believe that the best products and solutions emerge from active participation in discovery, rather than passively waiting for fully detailed JIRA tickets.
Your understanding of "iterative work" goes beyond simply adding to existing solutions. You recognize that the purpose of software development isn't to write code once and leave it, but rather to craft solutions that can evolve and endure, yet also be gracefully replaced or discarded if new insights reveal a different path. You understand that significant rewrites are sometimes necessary as each release provides new feedback and insights into the true requirements. Therefore, you dedicate considerable effort, alongside your team, to design iterations that can be quickly deployed to production without creating technical debt or limiting future flexibility.
What is in it for you?
Join our scale-up and significantly influence product development and company operations. You'll collaborate with talented colleagues in an environment that balances challenging work with a healthy work-life balance. We prioritize long-term enjoyment and avoid deadlines and stress, recognizing that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
In addition to this fulfilling work environment, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and growth
