We currently seeking a Sewing Pillowtop at our Medina, OH location

The hourly pay range is:   $21.13 - 22.13

The role will primarily be responsible for placing the cloth inner-panel on a waist-high work table and feeding it into a sewing machine.  The machine is fed a border or gusset that is sewed onto the panel.  The operator turns the panel at each corner and will sew close the border/gusset at the end of the run.  The operator uses hand scissors to cut the panel/gusset and re-feed the machine between each unit. 

Qualifications

What You’Ll Need:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to perform within a fast paced, team environment to maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production goals
• Maintain and sustain a clean area/environment.
• Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Continuous:  standing while operating the sewing machine.  Ability to work at a rapid pace and be flexible to the demands of the shift, including overtime.
• Frequent: walking to retrieve materials and put finished unit into storage areas; pushing and pulling of work piece while on the sewing table; repetitive use of hands/arms while aligning pieces of fabric and feeding them into the machine; repetitive use of foot to activate the sewing machine; and lifting and carrying of work in process, less than 10 pounds.
• Occasional: reaching over head to retrieve component parts; grasping of fabric pieces and scissors; lifting and carrying of pieces up to 25 pounds.
