Lycopodium Minerals Namibia is seeking a highly experienced Site Field Engineer with a strong EPCM project background in SMP (Structural, Mechanical, and Piping) construction across mineral processing plants. to join our dynamic, growing team. Reporting to the Construction Manager the Site Field Engineer will be responsible for providing field engineering services to the project, as part of the construction team. The Site Field Engineer shall provide sound technical advice in the resolutions of problems associated with constructability or design issues.

This is a key leadership role for someone with a proven record managing complex site-based projects.

The tasks you'll perform

• Manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are built to specification, drawings, and quality standards.
• Provide technical direction and support to subcontractors and construction crews.
• Perform QA/QC inspections, review and approve method statements, ITPs, MDRs, and ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Monitor and enforce site safety protocols, including PPE usage, permits, and JHA compliance.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, progress records, and scheduling updates.
• Conduct site surveying and layout in collaboration with survey teams.
• Diagnose and resolve field engineering issues and provide corrective/preventive action plans.
• Inspect and monitor calibration and use of construction equipment.
• Support client handover processes by preparing quality documentation and ensuring close-out deliverables.

Qualification And Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years’ experience in construction, site engineering, QA/QC, and civil works within the mining and resources sector.
• Previous project experience with Lycopodium and international mining companies (Canada, Perth, Senegal).

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

• Strong understanding of construction management, quality systems, and safety compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MS Project, and PIMS (quality management system).
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in multicultural project teams.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Skilled in surveying, quantity estimation, technical problem-solving, and contractor management.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment.·
