Lycopodium Minerals Namibia is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Planner with a strong EPCM project background in SMP (Structural, Mechanical, and Piping) construction across mineral processing plants. to join our dynamic, growing team. Reporting to the Construction Manager the Senior Site Planner will be responsible for providing Senior Site Planner services to the project, as part of the construction team. The Earthworks Supervisor shall provide sound technical advice in the resolutions of problems associated with constructability or design issues.

This is a key leadership role for someone with a proven record managing complex site-based projects.

The tasks you'll perform

• Prepare baseline schedules and maintain updates for all major project milestones.
• Track project progress through schedule updates, resource tracking, and physical verification of sub-contractor work.
• Assist with preparation and evaluation of delay claims and assess the time impact of compensation events.
• Generate dashboards, progress reports, and S-curves to communicate project performance to clients and management.
• Monitor critical and near-critical paths, identifying slippages and recommending corrective actions.
• Lead a team of planners and coordinators to support field construction activities and project delivery.
• Implement standard project controls services including cost control, risk management, and reporting.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure integration of design and technical information into schedules.

Qualification And Experience:

• BSc in Industrial Engineering (NQF 8) or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; certification in Forensic Schedule Analysis advantageous.
• 10+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls across mining, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in delay analysis, earned value management (EVM), schedule integration, and contractor coordination.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

•  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical drawings, design requirements, and project scopes.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proven leadership skills, able to guide planning teams and liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
• In-depth understanding of project controls, cost forecasting, schedule monitoring, and risk management.
• Effective communication skills with ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving approach, adaptable to dynamic project environments, and committed to professional development.
