About The Role
Are you passionate about operational accuracy and supply chain efficiency? As a result of an internal development opportunity, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team on a 6-month max-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days based in our Brendale support office.
Reporting to the National Pallet Manager, you will play a pivotal role focused on monitoring the performance of our distribution centres (DC) and retail stores across Australia and New Zealand. This position plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of our equipment control system (2ic software), ensuring national compliance with pallet control procedures, and driving improvements in equipment recovery and hire cost reduction. Furthermore, you’ll collaborate with suppliers and carriers to manage pallet movements and safeguard SRG’s pallet accounts.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Weekly reconciliation of the national pallet account
- Delivery of an effective pallet control process
- Ensuring SRG pallet standards are complied with across the DC network including both internal and external storage
- Identifying operational process improvements and ensuring more efficient management across the network
- Maintaining a safe working environment for all team members by ensuring compliance with all WHS safety programs and building a commitment culture throughout the team
About You
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in inventory management and supplier coordination, along with the ability to navigate complex workflows and systems.
In Addition, You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in pallet control and related processes
- Strong understanding of operational workflows and procedures
- Previous experience in inventory management
- Proficiency in using inventory systems or pallet control platforms
- Experience with 2ic software will be highly regarded but not required
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and suppliers effectively
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
