Position Profile: Vice President, Industry Sales
The Vice President, Industry Sales is responsible for driving revenue and profit growth across Ricoh’s largest industry-specific accounts, both in the U.S. and internationally (where applicable). This role ensures strategic alignment with customer objectives and develops both short- and long-term plans to meet Ricoh’s business goals. The VP builds executive-level sponsorships, participates in strategic client meetings, and helps define Ricoh’s path to success. This leader also drives thought leadership, shares best practices, collaborates with marketing as the voice of the customer, and ensures the team remains aligned with industry trends and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of detailed business plans to help clients achieve annual and long-term objectives.
- Lead profitable growth for assigned accounts, focusing on contract retention and expansion.
- Collaborate with SMEs and partners to implement Ricoh’s portfolio or develop custom solutions.
- Establish and inspect account strategies aligned with client business goals.
- Hold Account Directors and Specialists accountable for KPIs, sales activities, and new business development.
- Ensure team training on industry trends to maintain relevance with customers.
- Promote best practices and support creation of case studies and client references.
- Set clear expectations and routines to support sales objectives.
- Align internal resources to support account planning and execution.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing talent and programs.
- Manage escalations and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide consistent coaching and feedback to enhance team performance.
- Guide team through Ricoh’s selling methodology and elevate sales capabilities.
- Assess talent and create development plans to foster growth.
- Manage revenue growth and expense control to meet financial targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of sales experience with Fortune 5000 clients.
- 7+ years of sales management experience.
- Proven success in developing C-level relationships.
- Preferred: Consultative selling experience.

- Strong understanding of organizational dynamics and Ricoh’s operating model.
- Agile leadership with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT infrastructure knowledge and enterprise operations expertise.
- Trusted advisor with strong business and financial acumen.
- Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing sales teams.
- Accountability for closing deals and achieving sales goals.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels.
- Sedentary work with occasional walking, standing, and light lifting (under 10 lbs).
- Moderate dexterity required (e.g., keyboard use, hand-eye coordination).
- Approximately 30% travel, including overnight trips.
