We empower businesses with cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights to make smarter decisions. As the leader in UK property data, we provide automated valuations, risk assessments, market intelligence and property intelligence to support property professionals, lenders, house builders and investors.
Our key commercial and go to market segment is in financial services, primarily mortgage lenders including 9 of the top 10 mortgage providers. We’re part of the Zoopla Property Group, which includes some of the UK’s most trusted digital platforms including Zoopla, Alto, Hometrack, Mojo and Prime Location.
About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer with a passion for exceptional UX design and experience in B2B SaaS products. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web-based applications. This role is responsible for enhancing the user experience across all our products - providing a unique opportunity to lead design, collaborate and drive alignment across our company. You will champion better experiences for our customers, and explore new ways for customers to interact with our market leading data, such as the role of AI in our product experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process: Own and drive the end-to-end design process, from user research, through to designs, testing and the successful implementation of designs.
- User research and discovery: Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, workshops, surveys, and competitor analysis, to build a deep understanding of our users' workflows, goals, and pain points.
- Ideation and collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ideate and translate business requirements and user insights into tangible design concepts, user flows, and journey maps.
- Design and prototype: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, leveraging our design system to maintain consistency and scalability.
- Test and iterate: Plan and facilitate usability testing to gather qualitative feedback, validate designs, and iterate solutions to continuously improve our user experience.
- Champion our customers: Act as the voice of the user within our teams, ensuring their needs are at the heart of the product development process. Foster a culture of design excellence within the organisation.
- Think Hometrack first: Create alignment across product designs, user journeys and teams to ensure a consistent experience and design philosophy between products.
You’Re A Great Fit If You Are
- Proven Experience: You have 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design and user research, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on complex, data-rich B2B SaaS products.
- Master of your art: Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Skilled in Figma with experience leveraging design systems to streamline the design process and ensure consistency across products.
- Outcome oriented: you have a bias for action and focus on outcomes over outputs.
- Exceptional collaborator and communicator: You thrive in a cross-functional agile team environment and can clearly articulate your design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing decisions and building consensus.
- A problem-solver at heart: You are driven by curiosity and have a passion for understanding the "why" behind a problem, enabling you to design solutions that truly resonate with users.
- Curiosity and always learning - whether it’s driving key product KPIs, testing and iterating designs or learning new skills and industry trends you are always reflecting on what can be improved and how to get there. For example, with consumers increasingly using AI in their day to day lives, you’ll challenge the business on how AI can enhance our product experiences and the usability considerations required for customers to have trust in AI workflows and data.
Hometrack is an equal opportunity employer. We’re reimagining the property industry for everyone, so we want our team to represent people from all walks of life. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
