This position will involve assisting in the delivery of the Firm’s Fund Solutions and Restructuring services based in Mumbai & New Delhi. Typical assignments will include participating in fund and restructuring advisory, asset wind down support and business development initiatives.
Our Fund Solutions and Restructuring professionals serve as financial advisors to fund managers, companies, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors and other interested parties in special and distressed situations across virtually every industry and every situation throughout the business life cycle.
As a Senior Associate, Fund Solutions, Restructuring, you will be responsible for supporting the Fund Solutions and Restructuring team with the day-to-day procedures involved in both Fund Solutions and Restructuring Advisory engagements. With training and support provided by more senior members of the team, the successful candidate will work on a range of assignments including assisting fund clients in special situations, from undertaking financial analysis and supporting the drafting of investment proposals to working on fund management transitions, asset realisations, investment reporting and business development research initiatives, all whist liaising with a wide range of stakeholders. The candidate will support the growth of the Fund Solutions and Restructuring business in the Asia & EMEA region
Navigating Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient and timely progression of a portfolio of Fund Solutions and Restructuring projects.
- Demonstrate organisation, ownership and proactive management of tasks
- Meet deadlines and communicate progress.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with senior staff on high-level decision-making.
- On advisory assignments:
- Assist with financial analysis;
- Review cash flow forecasts;
- Draft investment reports;
- Assist with options analysis for distressed businesses and funds.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with fund managers, financial sponsors, creditors, asset agents and solicitors.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop and drive relationships with individuals from all industries.
- Ability to master new tasks quickly whilst showing strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Ability to manage rapidly changing assignments and work well under pressure
- Strong team player and work in a team environment, across multiple mandates.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to assess and manage risk, deal with ambiguity and understand the commercial drivers of the outcomes of our work
- Relevant degree, achieving 2:1 or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience.
- A relevant accounting or investment qualification is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Assist with financial analysis;
- Review cash flow forecasts;
- Draft investment reports;
- Assist with options analysis for distressed businesses and funds.
Visit clients' premises and liaise with management and employees.
