BUSINESS MARKETING COORDINATOR
I. Position Objective
Lead, Organize Direct, and Manage the Polypropylene Sales and Business Development teams. Maximize Polyolefins resin sales that are consistent with Formosa Corporate Strategy and Polyolefins Business Division focus and goals, while continuing to generate new business with new and existing customers. Reporting to Executive Management/Division Head.
II. Major Areas of Accountability
Strategic Business and Sales Implementation - Working alongside Executive Management to prepare effective business strategies. Implement approved business and sales strategies.
Develop pipeline of business – Lead the Business Development team to produce a broad and deep pipeline of opportunities.
Performance Leadership and Management - Coach and continuously develop personnel through leading by example while communicating performance and expectations.
Customer Contacts and Relationships - Develop and sustain consistently high-quality customer contacts and relationships. Facilitate, collaborate, and coordinate with aligned internal company contacts to implement and reinforce external customer expectations, commitments, and Formosa Branding.
Marketing and Technical Support – Develop pricing strategies with Executive Management to ensure competitive sales and marketing planning and actions. Coordinate, facilitate, and mediate to provide ongoing technical support to customers and for product quality complaints.

A. TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA
1. Previous Related Experience - Minimum 1-5 years sales experience in the plastics industry including 3 years experience managing a sales and/or business development team. Consistently demonstrate strong performance results along with effective leadership and management results.
2. Technical Skills Required
◦ Understanding and experience of the various Polyolefins products Formosa sells.
◦ Proven leadership ability to influence internal departments to achieve objectives with a team approach.
◦ Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
◦ Must be able to organize time effectively.
◦ Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
◦ Ability to work in a team environment.
3. Education (Minimal Education Needed) B.A. or B.S. When previous Related experience and Technical Skills meet minimal requirements are both exceeded, four-year degree is not required.
4. Other Certification/Training Required To Gain Function-Related Technical Knowledge Continuous education in leading edge marketing and polyolefins product development sales trends. Membership in professional associations a plus. Direct involvement in market focused organizations [Examples - ACC, TAPPI, IOPP, PPFA and PPI].
5. Other Requirements (Physical/Mental Demand, Schedule/Hours, Travel)
◦ Extensive travel required.
◦ Physical demands require the ability to sit upright for several hours along with the ability to walk long distances in airports and at customer plant locations.
◦ Must be able to work flexible and extended hours.
◦ Analytical understanding of complex issues as well as their consequences.
