We are hiring a Pediatric Private Duty LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Walker area to provide pediatric private duty care on the weekends. Case Specific Enhanced Pay Rates are available with 8-12 shifts. We offer PT hours, flexible schedules, and weekly pay!

- Provides direct skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the plan of care.
- Utilizes the E.V.V. (Electronic Visit Verification) program as applicable. Records clinical and progress notes at the time of the visit to ensure continuity of qualitative patient care in a timely basis.
- Prepares equipment and material for use according to the plan of care, practicing appropriate procedure technique, including Administers medications as prescribed by a physician and permitted by law.
- Assists with teaching the patient and/or family members regarding the patient care needs and other related problems of the patient at home.
- Ensures confidentiality of patient records/information.
- Attends team meetings and staff meetings to enhance team communication and coordination of quality services
- Observes, records, and reports (1) signs and symptoms; (2) reactions to treatments and medications; and (3) any change in the patient’s physical or emotional condition in a timely matter to the Registered Nurse and physician as applicable.
- Participates in the organization’s Performance Improvement and Compliance programs and adheres to policy’s and procedures.
- All other duties assigned.
- License Requirements
- Must have current LPN licensure in state of practice.
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Experience Requirements
- Previous home care experience preferred
- Additional state Specific Requirements
- LA: Current LPN licensure in LA without restrictions. At a minimum, one year of experience working as a LPN.
