The Supervisor Sterile Supply position will oversee the system inventory levels of medical supplies and support inventory functions and processes within the INTEGRIS system. This position provides operational leadership to all groups storing medical supplies by developing, interpreting and applying policies and strategies. The Supervisor Sterile Supply responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Maintains the inventory database with focus on the management of inventory levels, cycle counts, lead times and service levels to the customer.
  • Creates new processes or uses existing tools to support the management of nursing, procedural and specialty inventory levels within the INTEGRIS system of hospitals.
  • Reviews nonstock purchases for potential item adds to inventory or nursing par carts.
  • Oversees the vendor return process for stock, non-stock or end user returned items.
  • Supports the purchase order discrepancy resolution process
  • Creates and manages the process for product expiration
  • Manages and supports product recall notices and procedures.
  • Identifies slow moving items and proactively works with INTEGRIS clinical staff for inventory reduction or elimination.
  • Collaborates with the CQVA team (Clinical Quality Value Analysis) to process add/ change/ delete items in a timely manner.
  • Builds relationships and works closely with the INTEGRIS distribution partner and INTEGRIS clinical staff. Facilitate and participate in meetings to determine inventory level changes.
  • Leads or supports annual physical inventory processes.
  • Works with internal customers and provides input for new technology or tools as needed.
  • Manages, develops, and teaches Inventory Coordinators or other assigned Supply Chain Management resources in clinical area(s) maintaining the multi-million dollar inventory of the organization.
  • Manages employee performance - planning, monitoring, developing, evaluate and reward to ensure staff productivity and effectiveness. Reviews and approves merit salary increases for assigned staff.
  • Directs employee performance management with Human Resources assistance as needed. Provides ongoing education opportunities for staff members.
  • Recommends staffing model to meet service commitments.
  • Evaluates the performance of the team against performance goals and initiates action necessary for compliance and prepares reports for explanation of variances. Reports to assigned leader.

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years Supply Chain or materials management experience or Master's Degree with 3-year Supply Chain or materials management experience. OR 8 years Supply Chain or materials management experience acceptable.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal).
  • Strong computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and Word.
  • 3 yrs. experience using ERP or other inventory control software. Experience using PeopleSoft preferred.
  • 2 years of previous healthcare or healthcare related experience preferred. * 2 years of previous management level experience preferred. * Certifications or licensure such as RN, CMRP, or CPIM preferred.
