Position Summary:

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a meaningful role in driving high performing teams within the Manufacturing Engineering Leadership Team. Your expertise and leadership will be key in supporting the growth of our base business and new product introductions. By successfully implementing technical solutions and maintaining our complex manufacturing systems, you will contribute to our detailed execution.

Main Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering team, setting operational strategies and establishing business-focused goals and objectives.
  • Conduct and lead investigations and corrective and preventative action (CAPA) recommendations related to engineering, addressing quality, technical, and manufacturing issues.
  • Apply data analysis techniques, such as statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodology, to resolve and prevent equipment failures and issues that could impact manufacturing capacity, quality, compliance, or cost.
  • Develop and coordinate management of capital investments and project spending budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators to measure functional and asset base performance, continually improving processes to reduce costs and improve compliance.
  • Develop and maintain individual engineering goals for the team, aligned with the strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the development of the manufacturing asset replacement strategy, incorporating value analysis to make repair/replace and repair/redesign decisions.
  • Responsible for talent development, recruiting, and management of highly trained Engineering Professionals, ensuring an engaged and effective workforce.
  • Stay informed about emerging developments and technologies in the industry, actively sharing valuable insights and advancements with the company.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience, with previous experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of previous people management or team leadership experience of engineers or high professional experts.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and collaborative environment.
  • Proven track record of translating engineering goals and objectives into successful strategies and tactical plans.
  • Prior experience in a cGXP environment within the medical device or FDA-regulated industry is strongly preferred.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.

This position will be located in Jacksonville, FL, with occasional domestic and/or international travel.
