The role delivers information technology solutions to fulfill business and functional requirements.  Responsible for the conversion of business requirements to technical specifications, delivery and post implementation maintenance activities. As a Manager, you will have a range of responsibilities from shaping and implementing the digital products to ensuring that we stay on the leading edge of technology. You will be expected to contribute across the Microservices, Payment Hub, Notification Hub development life cycle from front end to backend and ecosystem integration, DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment. 

As a Manager, you will work in a cross-functional team alongside the Product Owner, Designers, Testers and Development Engineers to co-develop digital products. You will also be responsible for managing production support for channel applications. As a Manager you will be work with Infra, support team and vendor to manage the run the bank and stabilize the production environment and also responsibilities to manage the production incidents and perform the impact analysis on any new changes to avoid any incidents.

  • Build applications according to the design and provide designers with feedback and suggest tradeoffs when required
  • Ensure the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
  • Work closely with backend developers to understand and properly use the systems APIs 
  • Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks
  • Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.
  • Conduct system analysis and development in response to user requirements, project involvement or changing technologies.
  • Design and develop information technology solutions making specific determinations about system performance.
  • Monitor applications to ensure adequate system resources to process at production standards.
  • Follow up and co-ordinate with internal teams for SIT, UAT support and Production Rollout.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) arising from production system disruption and gather required information and logs from the system for investigation.
  • Get the fix tested by users and take appropriate actions to move the change in Production.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of Strong working expertise of Server-Side programming using Java/JEE, Spring Boot.
  • Strong 5+ years of implementation Experience in Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA/JDBC, Tomcat, Maven, Design Pattern.
  • Strong understanding of OO Designing and Programming Techniques and associated concepts, Data Modeling
  • Strong working knowledge of REST and SOAP Web services
  • Knowledge in Microservices architecture/ patterns, cloud/container services (Docker preferred), Kubernetes expertise, Working Agile / Scrum for more than 3 years.
  • Quick learner, great ability to listen and communicate well verbally and written.
  • Ability to formulate/implement technical solutions, proven ability to understand, analyze and solve issues with little or no guidance. 
  • Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system.
  • Strong understanding of TDD with extensive experience of automated unit testing using mock object frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Major RDBMS (e.g. Oracle)
  • Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration
  • Beneficial skills would be knowledge around Event Driven Architecture & Domain Driven Design
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
  • Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply.
  • Good verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation.
